The British School - promoting British values
The Department for Education have reinforced the need to “create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs”.
At HNTPS we promote British Values throughout our school day and in our curriculum. The children designed posters, which can be seen in every class demonstrating each British Value.
Well done this year to Bronte, Saphron,Isabella, Amy, Henry B, Isabel, Ted, Martha, Carter, Seraphine, James, Darcie S and Sofia for designing our new posters.
The school realises that the contribution from different cultures and ethnic groups have not been given the recognition in the past that they deserved and at Horwood and Newton Tracey Primary School we strive to redress this balance and celebrate the achievements of all people, from all communities and all backgrounds,
