On Tuesday this week, Mrs Cook shared some photos and information about our international school in India.  The children found out where in the world India was exploring our world map.  They also found out how long Mr Thomas had to travel to get to Sri Sharada School and the amazing things that he saw on his journey.  The photographs and pictures from Mr Thomas’ visit to the school gave the children a wonderful opportunity to understand the similarities and differences with our lives and the lives of others across the world.  The children then went off to explore lots of different areas of India including celebrations, clothes, research and fact files and art work.  We came back together towards the end of the day to share the fantastic things we had found out from each class.  A huge thank you to Mrs Robinson in the kitchen for creating a delicious Indian lunch for the children to enjoy alongside some beautiful Indian music.   We will be creating a display of the children’s wonderful learning for everyone to enjoy and celebrate outside our school library.
